Great suggestions Olki, the snake charmer could be a nice set, and maybe the tea plantation could come with a waterbuffalo drawn cart.  :)

Maybe a different topic could be made for an ancient China theme.  ;)

Another great idea  ;D ;D ;D  but dont think this would catch up as there are no movie or current trend etc references for such a theme.... same goes for an ancient china theme though, i doubt these would make it to the market. However with varius recent movies  with ancoient greeks i would have though that by now we would have seen an ancient greek's theme with temples, greek warriors , olympian gods, trade ships and perhaps a hercules theme with his 12 achievements etc . BUT nothing yet.... not so sure  all together about old historic sets, the romans didnt last and sadly didnt expand as i was hoping and praying to see roman houses and temples and the same goes for the maginificent, magnificent , magnificent ancient egyptian theme which i believe was a grand theme , must have costed a lot to playmobil and again it didnt last long at all and what asmae this was .... Spy theme, space theme with references kids can make to blockbuster movies ( eg avatar ) is the name of the game i think ... i doubt playmobil after the egyptian flop will ever create such an ancient world theme again ....  :( :( :( :(..i think we will see more robotic and interactive themes with lasers, pc etc in the near future , perhaps a futurisitc water world or a space colony but i doubt we will see Zeus or Apollo or Achilles  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
:knight: Steck is Holy . Bring back more steck sets and its guardians , the Nuremberg Guards :knight:

I think that at least the romans sold quite well, not sure about the egyptians. Both are wonderfull themes and its great that playmobil finally explored a different period of history.

I wish I was young enough or have young kids....they are the ones deciding what Geobra launches

..but seriously, if Geobra is thinking of cashing in on the rich Asian market (although generally poor, their rich buy more cars and branded goods than us) ...they have to think not like Caucasian kids  but look at those Anime and Asian movies...and recruit an Asian for their development team...and I'll apply for the job  ;)....anyone here well connected with Geobra?  ;D

no offense, but I seriously hope there wont ever be anime inspired playmobil, it doesnt fit in. I find it rather terrible that Lego went that way already, combining ninja's with weird machinery.

I'd love to see historical chinese playmobil though. That could be very beautifull if millitairy and civilian sets are mixed.

I'll agree with you there, Rhalius - or at least as far as the really ridiculous archetypes of the Asian anime genre. And I liked the old Lego ninja sets, when they were good! ;D

I also agree! And your suggestion of an Indian theme would go along quite well with that, if they wanted to start a few different Asian themes that is.

Depends on the anime genre. Some of it is not too out there. I'd be happy just having more Asian people in the modern sets.

Anyhow, I don't see them succeeding with an ancient Chinese theme, unless a big movie or something comes out around the same time. Ancient worlds are probably more interesting to collectors than your average kid.
