Limited Smiley Use in Signature?

I went to update my profile, but could not do so satisfactorily, as I got an error message stating that signatures were limited to five smileys.  Is this a new feature with the new board?  Could it be changed?

I noticed that you can only have two images in your signature too. I decided to make my own little Playmobil heads for my own signature to show the themes that I collect. You could try that instead of using pre-made smileys. :)

It might be interesting to have a way in the forum that shows what themes everyone collects by checking a list on the profile, and each check giving the appropriate smiley under your avatar.

that would be an interesting thing to see in the signiture area. Could they be really small?
