Library Display
« on: July 16, 2012, 22:52:46 »
Our local library in Dumfries asked if I would put a small scene in one of their display cabinets prior to the exhibition, so I set it up on Saturday.
The cabinet is only about a foot wide and could only be accessed from each end so I was limited in what I could do.

I decided the easiest thing would be from the Howarts display, something that I could take back a couple of days before the exhibition starts and add to the diorama without much trouble.

I therefore made up a small "Care of magical creatures" lesson with Hagrid, students and the thestral and Dolores Umbridge (Yes to all HP fans I know that they are from two different books  ::) )
I added a couple of posters, a short description of Playmobil and the exhibition and a few photos from last year.

With the lighting in the cabinet and the reflection it looks a bit dark, but thought you'd like to see what I did.

Thankfully they are in a locked cabinet!  :)

It looks wonderful, Elaine.  I'm sure it will generate a lot of interest for the exhibition.  You do so many wonderful things for your community.

I'd really love to do that at my local library sometime. I suppose I should just ask. Looks like a lot of fun!

I agree, a lot of people do not know what the possibilities of Playmobil are... probably we can expect new members
