And a few pictures with some changes in the wagon and the cannon.

You can see here, the new cannon with the old one.

Thank you for a good review George.
I'm planning on doing a western diorama at Kirkbean this year and would quite like this.
Not sure about the harness for the horses though, I would have preferred black or brown and I don't like the colour of the soldier's hats - I prefer the darker blue.

Exactly the same here-these things have kept me from buying this set-so far that is.I'm not so sure about the "bomb-holes" too.

paint the blue or order replacements that are brown from DS. The holes are annoying but if you leave the projectiles in they do not look so obvious. The blue binoculars and whip are easily changed
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

A little paint will go a long way to make these look super sharp.  There is a lot of detail there that can be brought out with a few different colours - buckles, sweat band, leather.

The colour of the hats reminds me of my first cavalry figures from when I was little - I don't know why they would mould them in that colour.  Yes it matches the pants, but historically it would be closer to tunic colour (depending upon branch of service).
