what are his stockings made from? Is that real fabric? or painted?
On this one it is "painted", but not with "paint": I use a bottle of fluid-corrector (intended for writing mistakes)
I chose that over paint as the corrector sticks very well, and if I'd ever want to reuse the pants I can scrap the "paint" off again without leaving marks.
Sometimes I use for the stockings adhesive photopaper instead.
I do that with keeping in mind that Playmobil might release such pants in the future, and then I can recuperate the customized ones in their original colour.
This should become the case for the fellow in the picture, as the belgian-netherlands exclusive "3 Black Pete's" set 5040 (to be released in the fall of this year) will include a klicky that comes with these darkblue pants and white stockings. So I'll probably get a few of those figures to swapp customized pants for the new ones.
