French revolution - July 14th 1789
« on: May 19, 2012, 09:21:32 »
He is one of the thousand of figures we have used on our previous diorama "La prise de la Bastille"

His hat is called "bonnet Phrygien", that one is done with a special material that you can shape and after few hours it is dried and you can't change the shape anymore but still keep is soft touch feeling. We have done other kind of hat using resine and we painted them.

My children wondered why the head looked so happy! Lovely work - love the caps.

Très beaux bonnets phrygiens! Et le ci-devant est très réussi aussi.
That soft material, is it silicone or some kind of polyurethane foam?
Best,

maybe the noble guy looks happy because they told him to lay down so they could massage his neck, while in truth they kept him down to behead him?  ;)
