Secret Agent theme.
« on: April 23, 2012, 00:09:50 »
Could either be a third installment in the agents theme or something with a slightly different name since I'd intend something quite different with it.
I'd prefer to see it more like a hommage to james bond movies, and a bit less over the top.
Theres villains and secret agents in these sets, but never the same. As if different agents are send after different villains.

On to the sets:

-Corporate tower.
A tall tower with four floors and a landing pad on the roof.
A luxurious office is located on the top floor, on the other floors theres a meeting room, lobby and a room with artifacts, statues and such.
The entire tower has several hidden rotating doors, trap doors and other tricks, but all of it is perfectly hidden in plain sight, making the building very suitable to use as a normal corporate tower as well.
Everywhere in the tower are small hiding places for weapons or other items.
Included clickies: Mastermind villain in a suit, several henchmen that are either in suit or in security gear, and a female secret agent with a grapling hook and other gadgets to help her enter the building.

-Villain's yaght.
A large luxurious yacht with various rooms and hidden weaponry. There is a mounted turret at the back end of the ship that can be hidden under the floorboards.
The roof can be removed to reach several rooms within. There is a bedroom with a small bathroom, and a map room filled with computers, weapon closets and a table. There is also a jet-ski with this set for the secret agent.
Included clickies: several villains in hawaian gear and a secret agent with diving equipment who can chase the ship on his jet-ski which can fire a harpoon.

-Luxurious Villa.
A large set, and likely the most popular set of the theme.
The villa's interiour is not too big to allow more outdoors, the Villa also stands on a raised plate that makes it seem like it stands on a hill with a fence around it.
This hill is needed to allow for a pool in it, and there is a smaller pool attached to the common pool, with a steel fence in between. A shark comes with this set to put in the smaller pool.
To fill up the rest of the area under the hill, the mansion has a basement with a prison. There is an air shaft above the prison that can be used to escape the prison, when the steel bars are removed. The various rooms inside the mansion include of course a meeting room with a long table and a luxurious chair at the end, with several simpler chairs at the sides. There is also a bedroom with a small bathroom, and a common room with couches and a coffee table.
Again theres several secrets in the set such as hidden storage spaces and a secret entrance to the basement.
Included clickies: Several bodyguards with sunglasses and pistols, a lady with evil eyebrows in a luxurious dress to lead them, and a brave secret agent in a suit to stop their evil plans.

-Submarine.
Of course theres a villain with a submarine too, a medium sized set. It has quite an intricate ballast system Normally it will be half in the water, and if additional ballast is put in the submarine's roof, it will be underwater aside from the periscope. It seals perfectly shut at the roof, so that no water will get in and the clickies inside won't drown.
Inside the submarine theres a controll room with all the computers, two rooms with bunk beds, theres a toilet and in the back there is also a small cantina with a table.
The Submarine also comes with torpedos, but these are inserted from the outside, like with cannons and the mechanics to fire them are on the outside as well since otherwise the submarine cant be fully sealed.
Included clickies: Three villains with wetsuits that can put on diving equipment, one of them has an eyepatch and is the leader. Theres also a secret agent in diving gear with a harpoon gun. Theres several harpoon guns in the set.

-Secret agent helicopter.
Those brave agents will need someone to pick them up or drop them off, so thats why theres a helicopter.
The helicopter comes equipped with fireable projectiles and a rope with various handles for the clickies to hold on to.
Included clickies: A helicopter pilot and a secret agent with a parachute that works. (pilot could always be used as an agent too of course.)

great sounding sets and I would want them all but after reading your list I came to the conclusion

The tower would be about $500 2 1/2 feet tall and it would be very fun

The Large Yacht would be about $375 and be 3 feet long but great for the lake.

The house on a hill with pool will be about $600 and 4 sq. ft.

Now on to the slick sub at a cool $450 2 feet long and weighs in at 50 pounds with ballast

and unfortunately with the chopper there is no moder violence allowed
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Seeing how large castles are, I think that the tower would be possible. How tall a tower can you build with the 3666 castle when making the walls 2x2 after all?
If the round pieces where straight, I'd imagine it would be even taller than four floors. Ground floor is included in that.

The yaght depends on the size, I imagine it would be a bit bigger than the normal yaght that has been released some time ago, so a price class higher than that.

The villa would likely be the most expensive set, although I dont think it would be anything near that expensive. The plastic plate its on could be compared somewhat to the first pirate island, a bit bigger than that. I'd estimate the price to be about 50 euros more expensive than that island.

. . . How tall a tower can you build with the 3666 castle when making the walls 2x2 after all?
. . .

Although it is composed of sections of different sizes, not just a 2x2 square, this is one possible answer to that question:  Playmoliver's famous "Tower of Might"    :)

BTW, Rhalius, I love your ideas!  As Rasputin shows, these would likely be very expensive sets and Playmobil probably would not produce them for the usual retail market.  Sets like these would be perfect as "Collector" sets which would only be available direct from Playmobil.  Or, if there were an expanded online Direct Service parts ordering system, they could be built as customs after being designed in a Playmobil CAD system which would allow a person to design a structure and would then generate the building plans and parts lists.

price could be an issue yes.. I gues the corporate tower could have a floor less and have that floor as a seperate set, functioning as a building of its own as well so it could be added to the tower.

Maybe that floor could be used on the villa as well to expand it, keeping it quite small in its standard package, possibly with a seperate set that contains furniture for it and some bodyguards.

Cool ideas, Rhalius. The villa definitely sounds like it could have some great parts. ;)

Great ideas, Rhalius! :)  These secret agent sets could fit in with other modern themes as well.
