sailors during 'at rest'
« on: March 27, 2012, 06:31:37 »
and my final use for the guitarman's torso;

a sailor at work during 'rest' from fighting
.....does anyone know if sailors have uniformed sleeveless shirts underneath their smart white uniforms and are they allowed to work without their uniforms?

Excellent custom figures, Cheng! Very realistic! :wow:
Forget about all of the other stuff,....all we need is the reintroduction of the 3526 Fire Engine!

We do wear the short sleeve shirt under the white tunic (its not sleeveles  ;)). However, depending on the heat conditions in summer time, the uniform dress code can be varied as following:

tropical day service uniform

tropical evening service uniform

extreme heat service uniform

All three of them are wore in non-essential and non-key service operation positions. For a key position service, such as guard or patrol duty we wear:

and here is the formal uniform

There is also a blue uniform that is wore on office and electronic equipment operations positions, or just for a dirty job...:

Winter

Summer

Btw, we only wear the whites in summer time... we wear the blue uniform in the winter.

Navy dress code is a proud tradition, but its also a big headache  8}
Hope the above gives you some further inspiration for your customs, cheng :)

very very enlightening WK!! I'm now thinking of the Roman white torso with a squared edge (collarless) neck-line...btw WK, is this the present US navy?

it's not painting ? it's a new color hat ? you get the nuber of this part ? for 1900 woman , it will be nice too . I like your sailors ! i do some years ago with the same hat but with the blue one .
