Wow, great prices!

Normally this would go in Shopping & Auctions, but since you can't see that board yet, I'll leave it here until you have enough posts to see it.

No idea what Tesco is

Tesco is the number 1 supermarket in UK (on market share), so yes the prices are GB pounds.
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Thanks for this info - most interesting

Why on earth have they come here?

We don't want that **** here

I won't be buying any, not even at that price

I just hope these sets don't put off potential new Playmobil customers due to the quality difference

These sets aren't bad at all, Damo! They're nothing like the junky little chinese firetruck. We have both of them, more than one ambulance, actually, plus the school bus, and the quality is quite the same as other playmobil. The only noticable difference is that they come screwed together, similar to how some boats screw together, rather than snapping together. But they have actual rubber tires, and the quality is fine.

But they are of American design :-\ Not much good here, unless you are a child aged between 4-10 and couldn't care less which continent the stylings are from :P

If they wern't made in China, then they would be for me, but sadly I am not won over :-\

Yes, well we americans have been playing with and collecting european styled pm vehicles for the the last three decades, and can still manage to tell a garbage truck from a school bus. ;)
