Do you like the new options for klickies' faces?

Yes, they add new dimension to characters in photostories or customizing.
No. They're terrible! I like the classic style.
Don't care. I can change it out if I don't like it.

I don't think any lego figure still has the classic smile. A smirk at best I think.

The classic faces are available quite cheap on bricklink though, I got some myself to replace faded away faces. thats also a problem with lego, playmobil only has it with the oldest faces.

That's one of the reasons I wasn't attracted to Lego in the first place. I think that the faces look horrid.

Last night I noticed that the trademark smile has changed, just a little, over the years. If you look at an older klicky (the ones where the hands don't turn), and you will notice that the smile is a little bit deeper (taller) than the new ones. Personally, I don't really like the odd faces, like the one on the rocker with the orange, pointy hair, but I do like some new features, like the frown, the tattoo-face guy, and the vampiress. The really weird faces do look too much like Lego, and I hope PM doesn't intend to copy them more and more in the future. However, I don't really care if I can change the face, so long as the trademark face is still available and more prominent in the PM line. I would hope that even though PM might not be able to tell which figures are selling the best, I would think that they have some kind of focus groups, that includes adult collectors, to help direct their designs in the future. Just my two cents

In a few years we'll have that problem again.. The black queen was probably one of the first faces with those idiotic painted on eyes and-whatever-is-it-supposed-to-be over them.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same ones, do you mean the kind like those in sets 4812 and 4841? Those are the ones I can't stand.

it really does not matter as you can change them easy enough. If they sell and get playmobil brand more market exposure then it was all worth it.  If they do not, well they have plenty of the old ones
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Maybe if the new mouths are done in a playmobil way instead of a lego style print we would like them better right. Maybe THAT is the problem! It's like I said about the eyes,,, a print mouth and brown circular eyes are ok... but messing twith the eyes is just...  :0 ...the skater's face freaks me out!!

Something that haven't been discussed yet is the importance for kids to relate themselves with their feelings. A hard thing to do with a forever smiling toy (PM, Lego, BArbie, whatever)

So this could be an adventage at some point.
Lots of therapysts use toys role play for kids therapy and even we talked about this here, a member doing it with clickies and all. So the importance of the possibility of having different facial expressions perhaps goes beyond the photostories WE COLLECTORS plan.
Imagine a kid who had been abused.... how can she/he relate to a smily clicky when role-playing his/hers feelings? Having sad, frowning, angry faces and more,  opens up a world of possibilities in that field too.

Yes, I agree with that Gaston. That's why the sad face convict has grown on me. But he is cute because it's a classic face just with the mouth upside down. I would like seeing other facial expressions, but very basic ones with the classic simplicity. No smirks.
