By the site some workmen are busy chopping down trees and cutting up the logs...



Moving  a pile of top soil...


ready to load it into a truck...


Shovelling sand for the cement...


Bricklayers at work...


Manouevreing windows into place...


Welding...


Up on the scaffolding a workman is busy drilling...


A VERY RARE karcher sweeper is cleaning up the mud...


Cutting the road surface ready for pipe laying...




A roller, rolls the tarmac..


Outside the site turf laying has already begun...

I'm sure my comments should be more technical  :lol:

Although the photos show some of the details. the overall effect was fantastic, it really was a wonderfully detailed display, right down to the little rolls of turf to the shovel full of sand taken out of the pile of sand.

Damo should be very proud of what he created.  :wow: :wow: :wow:

That's a great looking diorama Damo! Some great detail work. I really like the material you used for the road roller segment, it looks very much like freshly put down asphalt slurry.

Thank you, Damo/Elaine! :lol: Great pics, and WOW, I never would have thought a construction dio could be that interesting! Excellent amount of details in it. Nice to see all those bricks being put to use by the brick layers. I really got a kick out of the sod layers, too, and the cranes moving the pre-fab walls into place. I think I've been inspired to get into construction equippment now! Playmobil I mean.

I liked the brick-laying masons too. That was a really nice feature, and I too never would have expected so much from a construction setup. There was definitely a great amount of time (and fun!?) put into creating a scene with such detail. Well done!

The fencing is made by Bruder, and is 1:16 scale - but it fits in just fine I think
