KNIGHTS CASTLE Behind the Scenes PICS
« on: February 15, 2012, 17:18:53 »
New "behind the scenes" pics of the KNIGHTS CASTLE in production from PM on their FB site.

This particular one somehow reminds me of Star Wars when the Imperial Troops are preparing for an invasion..... Playmobil is mobilizing to take over the world! Can't you just hear a compelling John Williams score playing in the foreground of this invasion scene?

Also, I've seen behind-the-scenes footage of production, and have you ever noticed most of the workers appear to be mostly women? Just an observation.  Wish I could work there....I'd work overtime for free!  (and swim in mounds and mounds of unattended playmobil stock)

Production line workers are usually women, at least locally. Engineers, supervisors etc are usually men.

Hmmm looks familiar :)

I would say it was about half men/half women in the plant at Dietenhoffen when we had the tour last may. The tool and die shop was all men, the Deko department seemed to have more women than men. The real question is how even the % is in the design department. In videos it seems like only men. That could cause some real limitations on the possible ideas coming out of there.

True, might be the reason why the knights theme has no civilians anymore.

Aside from royals, knights and soldiers there where also heralds, noble men and women that where no knights, children of all sorts, and quite some peasants here and there as well. The forestmen could pretty much be regarded as peasants/villagers, especially the feast with the big keg.

Heck, the 3666 castle had two soldiers and came with six other clickies to perform all kinds of tasks around the castle.

Is PM listening?!  (or reading)

I think nonfighting figures would be the best thing for the medieval line.
