Congratulations, great find!!

But I must make a remark about this wagon's "differences":

Actutally, the green cover is the only difference when compared with the first similar wagons from the Western-theme.
As a kid, I had an early Western-version and the wagon-mould was exactly the same to yours with the green cover. Later on, the wagon-mould was somewhat changed (in the mid 80's I think) to the one you used for making the comparison.
I remember this quite well, as I had both versions of the wagon.

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

Well, I was going to say "how do you do it?" but I see everyone else said that. So, I'll say this instead......

I HATE you, Damo!

Kidding of course! Congratulations on this fantastic find!

And thanks for the comparison pics, it is different from my western wagon, I would never have guessed.

Not to spoil your feelings about the differences between the westerns and knights wagons, but the green wagon is with the exception of the green cover exactly the same as the 3243-1 western wagon from 1976, a set which is more commonly found on Ebay. So if you're up to the clips to attach shields and don't care about the color of the cover, the 3243 is the one to get, George!

Great find anyway, Damo! 8-)  8-)

Me, and I'm sure others thought that this wagon was just the same as the 3278 - Covered Wagon, just with a different coloured canopy

Well, they are completely different! :o
Yes, but the older western wagons 3243x had also this mould like your 3176 [KLICK HERE!].
It was not the only set with this wagon mould.

Sorry, kenc also wrote this...

Yes, several people have now pointed this out. But still it was news to me that there are two different covered wagon molds.... now three because the new western sets have yet another! Thanks for showing us the comparison, Damo. :)
