My only suggestion would be to perhaps use the new wigs a bit more sparingly with your civilians.
I don't use them on all civilians, just the "upperclass" civilians. I still have the older versions without the scrolls on the side and use them as well, for "less wealthy civilians" and indeed for lower-rank officers. The courtmaster f.e. (5th pic) has a wig without sidescrolls, as he is a servant and thus lower class.
These wigs were quite a fashion in the 18th century, and all the richies wore them. The bigger the wigs were and the more sidescrolls they had, the richer the wearer was supposed to be. The ladies wore sometimes very high wigs, which made it very uncomfortable to balance when walking.
