Well, as I said it before, my friend, the crests didn't necessarily matched the coat of arms. Actually, it was the opposite: most of the time, the crest would be completely different from the coat of arms. And though the coat of arms would pass from a family member to another with a slight change, the crest would remain the same. Those were only worn in tournaments since they were meant to recognize the knight in a melee (and yes, to show off a bit too!)
Same for the caparisons that were too heavy for war.
But, still, I might try a Fleur de Lys crest...thanks for the idea!
