Bought this lot...unsure if it was good or not
« on: December 17, 2011, 23:23:52 »
Hello all!

Yesterday, I received a package containing an auction on a bunch of old playmobil that I had won. When bidding, I didnt' really know if it was going to be worth it, or that it would be a disappointment. The seller had some pictures shown, but it was more or less a gamble. I knew that I had seen parts of a Fort, an old Western house and a Middle Ages house.

Well this is what I got, have a look:

Now lets see what I could make of it... Here are the results!

I'm still not sure whether this was a good or a bad  buy :)
Still, I'm quite happy with the western house, I'm not sure if I'll keep the Fort Randall, it takes so much space. The old Medieval house will probably be sold off too, since I have no room to start a collection :D

Some interesting things there  :xmascheer:
Could the bits that you have no idea about be part of the frame from a market stall?

 :lol: I see lots of good old classic parts

Was it a good deal? well do you collect classic playmo ? If you do not and you paid over $50 then I would wonder why you bought it. If you do collect classic playmo these parts are harder to get as the years go by. Then under $50 would be a good deal and over would be decent for a collector and over $100 is high, that is unless you really, really needed the parts (the classic western house w/pitched roof is hard to get)

So its all relative to your situation  8}
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

This kinda looks like what you have no idea about:

I say "kinda" because of the awning cover being slightly different in the picture I posted.  The one you have is probably an earlier version before they decided to reduce lots of plastic off pieces.

Here, you can see it better on Damo's beautiful white version:

The reason I bought it was the western house + to have a look at fort randall if it was salvageable. And in all honesty..another reason is that I just love to work my way through lots like this to see what's there and what sets I can make of it, its part of the hobby! This lot had lots of broken stuff which was disappointing, but in the end I think I'm quite happy with it.

It does actually! Hmm time to see if I put that together. Never would have guessed that! No idea how many parts I'm missing though...

the medieval house still seems very usefull, a shame there cant be a door in there but it could still serve as a good gateway. Like in between houses in an alley or such.
