 :snowman: :rudy: :xholly: :elf:

Those pectorials on speedodad I already now, but on boagrius.... cool 8-)
(If I were really good in modelling pliable plastic I would make a supermuscular klicky, unfortunately I'm not)
:playmo: :egypt: :roman: :builder: :playmo:

ya, a bigger Broagrius....maybe PM will make an olympic weight lifter

and WoT, you said; "if SpeedoDad is meant to represent a Greek,
Then he should have a spear and dagger"
(not my theme....i'm learning....I'm learning....)
....so using our PM long viking wooden spear and the short/stout symmetrical dagger you mean?

There were many types of Gladiators.
Romans used the different Gladiators to reenact scenes from history, or make mock bouts:
Sort of like, who would win if... ;D

One was meant to represent a Greek soldier, due to the helmet SpeedoDad is wearing I figured that worked best.
The Greek Gladiators would be equipped with a spear and a short sword, more of a dagger.
They were meant to represent the weapons of the Macedonian pike-man.

A viking spear with a stout dagger would look very similar to the Gladiator style. :)

They look good.

I got to say that the official playmobil gladiators don't look that great, they dont really look like gladiators to me. The attire just looks nothing like it, and they give them the grilled medieval helmet while gladiator helmets are rather exotic and used some of the most amazing and exotic designs to ever be used in battle.

Quite a shame since all other figures of the roman theme look great.

thanks WoT, will try to remember this (I didnt collect the coliseum, so this custom will be 'disbanded' when I have a new idea for those body parts)

and Rhalius,
you'll agree that correcting and improving our beautiful toys (meant for kids)....thats what make customising so satisfying
....we wished very hard and waited years for the Roman theme and when they finally came out, the PM romans were so perfect, they offered nothing to improve  :xmascheer: :xholly: :rudy: <*) :snowman:

SpeedoDad vs. Boagrius...I like it!
The only thing missing is the bloodthirsty crowd. ;D
Life's essentials: food, water, shelter and at least one klicky.

Cheng:
Does speedodad have life insurance? Can gladiators even get life insurance? Maybe you should not mention his occupation in that blank because it will raise the premiums on his life.
Is he working out in a gym these days? How about his diet....plenty of protein and gladiator food?
I am worried and sleepless that someone will mutilate him. Please update his Living Will so he does not have to suffer needlessly at the end, Pgal :xholly:

Tahra,
since there are unsurance companies willing to insure celebrities' legs or vocal chords or bet against aliens showing up in 2012 for the right premium...
I'll say speedoDad has no problem buying life insurance :xmascheer:
but with his continuing exposure in PF...he has no choice but to disclose;
"Samurai/gladiator/zulu-fighter....future bull fighter...and list not closed" in an attachment  :xmascheer:
...and I hope Geobra will launch an exercise gym :xmascheer: soon!
even if he could eat, he might wake up attached to someone else's empty stomach :P
so sweet of you but worry not...like the terminator, he will rise again and again (with different legs :xmascheer: :xmascheer: :xmascheer:

I love speedodad the gladiator. Could we skip the Terminator version of speedodad? I keep having flashbacks of former Guv Arnold, and they aint happy dreams, either.

How about speedodad as an army chef...making Chinese food of course! If he were a professor of anything, I would enroll in the anything course!

:xmascheer:SD has quite a fan club now, as you can see! :xmascheer:
