Nice looking truck Ben! The black does look VERY stylish with the red.

Personally, I really like the old American fire truck colors. Deep cherry red bodies with rich gold pinstriping and lettering and shiny black (or red) fenders.

I wonder if anyone is up to customizing the Victorian truck into an old-time fire engine?

Flori on the German board has, but it's down at the moment.

Hmm, I think I may have seen it. I wonder how different a European model would be from a vintage US model?

Hey Captain Henry,

As Gordon said, Flori has a few on Playmo-Portal. Theres not really a difference though; fire apparatus didn't really change until mid way through the 20th century. While European departments stayed with more specialized units departments in the U.S. switched more to multi purpose ones. Some difference though were front mount or rear mount pumps, different storage systems, different ladders, etc.

Ben

Hello, Ben ...

I went over to Playmo-Portal to take a look at Flori's antique fire fighting equipment.

Very, very interesting!

All the best,
Richard
