I've kept almost all of our boxes. They were taking up tons of room in the garage, so we placed a piece of plywood over the rafters in the attic and put them all up there. Worked pretty well, although it was a bit of a puzzle trying to get the bigger ones up the ladder and through the attic crawl door
I did empty the boxes of their contents first, though. Instructions to a file and extra bits to the "extra bits" box. I nested the boxes as well, to save on space.
