Cheng,
Maybe he could use the chair to reach the coconuts and their milk before he starves to death...or will he die of dehydration due to extreme sunburn before he starves?
Not sure....is there a real doctor in the house? Pgal :wave:

any survival experts in PF?
pending any expert advice, I think he better find a way to make a roof to hide under....then learn how to climb coconut trees the hard way later(without bending his back :P)

he should learn to swim and get out of there.

or better move to the top of the palm where his cellphone surelly will have better signal and call 911. 8}

Wow! Crazy me!

I love the "call 911 on his cell phone" response...you would be amazed how many thousand utterly stranded mountain climbers and hikers try that every year....and a few even do reach someone who can help rescue them! Let's hope there is a cell tower within range or our buddy is in deep you-know-what!

Greatly appreciating my ergonomic chair, air conditioning, and computerized setting while drinking a lovely iced tea after some yardwork this morning. I lived the island routine (Truk Island) in an earlier life at age 23, and am overjoyed to be where I now am completely comfortable with electricity and running water. Enjoy the small things while you can!
Cheers, Pgal :wave:

youre quite right tonguello, learn how to swim first.....swim back to get his cellphone charger...then swim back and then only learn how to climb to the top of the palm...oops...I forgot about the wall power socket....do you have the 'ETN' number? :P

but then...I might have got it all wrong :P

...can somebody quickly check his/her company's SOP(standard operating procedure)? this is not as serious as the container ship still keeling over but GB's CEO might have to resign should speedoDad lose his life because somebody didnt follow their SOP ;D

Cheng,

You are darn right about that. Just checked our company's 2011 SOP, and it says in Chapter 46, Section 4(C).3598 that "If employee is stranded on an island in a sunny climate, he/she should be thankful it is not located in the Arctic Ocean and should enjoy his/her time on the island spending time playing with his/her toys. And he/she should not call his/her supervisor because said supervisor will be madder than heck that he/she is not on that sunny island, too."

Addendum 4763960 also states that "the company will continue to pay said employee full benefits and salary only if the island is surrounded by water with an average temperature of less than 64F or 17.8C or has a golf course with a maximum size of 8 holes." What did you say the average water temperature is on this island? Cheers, Pgal :wave:

I'll PM Heather for the ETN of the playmo thermometer...your SOP doesn't say anything about Hula girls besides the golf course? speaking of golf...now that PM is coming out with an archer (without bent elbows still), I hope they'll come up with a golfer with bent arms :lol:
(oops...sorry, let's stick to the subject, speedoDad ;))
