wow, that looks like a lot of work to set up and change for each scene. i don't really understand military maneuvers, so i cannot appreciate the intricacies of your battle, but i do understand the gauze bandage side of war. thank you for sharing your link.

Hi Kaethe,
Many thanks -- glad you liked it.
Yeah, it was a lot of 'work' setting up and moving all the figures each turn, then taking photos, but I enjoyed it (duh!). Don't worry: no understanding of medieval battlefield tactics required!
I think having the 'gauze bandage' (as you put it) side of things in there is important, though. I think I leave the casualties on the field, and do a bit of the 'aftermath' of these battles I conduct as a way of reminding myself that war is not a game. To be honest, that real human beings engaged in the kind of organised violence I try to emulate with little plastic figures flabbergasts me. Conducting these battles with Klickies is, in a weird way, partly an attempt to understand that aspect of the past.
Whoa! Started drifting off into darkly philosophical mode there... Sorry.
Anyway, thanks again for having a look and for your kind comments.
Cheers,
AndrewL
