 well, we were kids, there were not many people there, you know....parents and siblins of the players....some friend.
It was embarrasing in fact but I was so happy that I didn't care.
Happy for my space ship of course...never cared about the goal!

You were 15 already....HAHAHA
Sometimes I just feel bad I fell back in love with playmobil too late in my life. I have simply missed a lot of opportunities buying some cool figures. :'(
It is the blue roman warrior that made me a collector. I was all shopping around in the shopping mall during office lunch time and got into the toysrus, and suddenly saw a pile of specials standing in the aisle. At that moment I was like, oh...how come playmobil is getting this all pinky design. But still, it is the content in it that matters and I chose the roman warrior, which is my first playmobil in my adulthood. :P :P :P
I remember seeing the boxes of playmobil in the FAO located in Las vegas, which was like five years ago, and now I feel regret that I didnt grap some of them. :hmm:

I had a lot of "best" moments.
The oldest I remember is when I was 14 I think, 15 maybe. I played roller hockey at that time. I was a "back", a defense. Don't know the exact word in english. I was very good at that cause I was huge for my age. But as I played at the back never had the chance to score. So my dad to encourage me to do it told me that whenever I scored he would buy me a Playmospace Ship that I have been wanting, that was very expensive and we weren't rich. He signed a paper as a kind of contract (I still have it). Everyone knew about this, the whole team and their parents.
So one Sunday, only God knows how, I shoot from the back of the field and I scored! So everyone on our side shouted PLAYMOOOOBIL PLAYMOOOOBIL instead of goaaaaaaaal!!!
And that's how I got my Playmospace 3535!  :brownhair: :woohoo: Funny....and a great moment! I got the box a few days after that.

well thinking back..... I must have been younger. Because I left the team when I turn 15. So I guess this happen when I was 12 or 13. I should check if my dad's fake contract has a date!  :P

I have a whole folder on this, in my facebook (.../playmobileiro).

My best playmo set EVER is the Tailor's house, 3440.
The one that counts as #2 is the 3740, ("fair") Schooner.
#3, the Blacksmith robber, 3125.
#4 (maybe #1 of the moment) is the (complete) Treehouse, 4460 (attached). (By "complete" I mean, with accessories :inlove: ).

I'm crazy about it mainly because it's my dream house for Fletcher the Adventurer!

There are loads of (er .. not loads, but quite a few) others in the album, but these are the main ones.

I was crazy about the blue timbered house, I got one, in the end of 2009. Also, the Royal Kitchen, 4251, which I eventually got as well, around those days. A friend sent me a 4444 Kanonensegler, so, I have a good boat, don't need more than this for now, for present projects.

(I've been getting myself dreaming about the Royal Treasure (4255), since I began using the Kitchen as Feorctegot's home, I liked the room, and would like to improve it, but, to tell the truth, I need more timbered houses before, I think, as well as trees and landscape (stones) which I hope to manage to get reasonably soon ...)

That's about it.

Great to read all these playmo moments.

Mine was when I got my pirate ship when I was 10 years old or something. I knew I was going to get it for my birthday. My parents had tried to keep it a secret. But the toyshop around the corner had one in stock. It disappeared just before my birthday.

Then I discovered a big wrapped box, about the right size in my parents bedroom. That was all I needed to know.

Dreamt about it for days and almost didn't sleep the night before the big day.

My favorite was when I got a 3667 for Christmas!
I was 9 or 10, and I was looking under the tree when I saw a large box with my name on it.
I took it out, opened it up,
and there lying in front of me was the beautiful box of a 3667.

I remember taking it down to the basement
and pouring over the instructions with my mom trying to figure out how it worked. :P
It was great! ;D

My best Playmobil moment is undoubtedly when I purchased the complete Victorian House back in the summer of 1990 with all the rooms sets, the horse carriage and the oldtimer car

I remember taking a cab and bringing all the boxes home and opening them with a glass of chilled rose.

Discovering the beautiful and intricate details of the sets was pure heaven then and the feeling has lasted for the past 20 years  :cloud9:

Love this sentiment, Karim.  That is what I think makes Playmobil so woderful.  No matter what series you are interested in, they are made with such attention to detail.  They just make you happy to be around them.

yes, I remember even as a young child just being filled with wonder as I saw the amazing detail of Playmobil. There is no toy in the world that comes close.
