Antex.....sold?

Well, let me tell you the story.
I bought yesterday a MIB 5301 at a small toy shop near my house. Payed for it in the morning and picked it up at night after work.
The seller girl asked if I was a collector and asked me if I had a lot of Antex's. I said that I had only old Antex, becuase now I didn't like the quality and we kept going about it.
SO; she told me that the owner of the shop, a woman, was a very good friend of Mr. Antex's wife, and she (Mrs Antex), (not the real name) told the shop's owner that some of the pieces of Antex's sets were made in China and put together in La Rioja, (north of Argentina) with the pieces Antex makes.
Could this be the cause of the difference in quality between clickies and accesories in Antex's boxes? I wonder.

And she said more. She said that the Brazilian company that manufactures Playmobil bought ANTEX. (is it still Estrella?? Gustavo told me the name in another thread but I forgot?)
If that's true what consecuences it could bring? better quality, better prices? Better sets?
Let's hope for all of them.

Did someone heard or read something about this?

we should ask gustavo tonguello (he is brazilian).
  i had the feeling that no playmobils (the plural of playmobil, meaning playmobil figures) were made in brazil any longer.

yes Cachalote he told me that there is a Brazilian company nowadays that manufactures Playmobil but not for selling in Brazil but for another countries. I'll look for that thread and link for you. I'll ask Gustavo for more details.

This is what Gustavo told me about the Brazilian situation regarding Playmobil. I rememberd it wrong, sorry. There is no factory in Brazil but an importing company.
So if what I've been told is true, this factory which supposedly bought Antex must be a new one, or one of the 2 we know, Trol or Estrella, most probably teh last one.
