Thank you Cachalote & Mac Gayver it is nice to finally have my DSL up and humming. It looks like I missed some great news with the release of the classic park fence and other new classic sets. With all the talk/begging going on for years for Playmobil to bring the fence back it makes me wonder if they threw us a bone I mean really how many kids are really interested in a fence  I am very glad to see them and will surely be getting loads of them as to not be an idiot and miss the opportunity while it is there for $20-ish.

The ghost kid is a bit weird as it represents the spirit of the dead and in this case a dead kid  I like it and will be getting some of course but it is still a little weird

The romans really must have sold poorly as playmobil broke down the sets and is selling them as add-ons

Just to stay on topic, I also plan to get some of the DS fences - Emma's use of "stone paint" (on her Nelson column) has given me an idea about those unfortunate yellow posts.

The yellow tone does not bother me at all as a simple paint job is all it need to have it any color you want. It must have been made for the 3rd (aka 5302) Victorian house as the 2nd (aka 5301) one is discontinued. I have not seen the 5302 yet but it looks like the same color. I know how much we all like the dreary tan tone of the 5300 and how real it looks but this is a toy that need marketability.

The fence is such a small ticket item and is easy to absorb the finical loss if it does not sell. The investment Playmobil would have to make re-releasing the 5300 is considerably higher and would not be as easy to swallow if it did not sell. If they are throwing us a bone it will have to be small ones  but i sure would not complain if they threw us a large one with a little meat on it 

I like the Motor-Trike as well and will be getting more of them as well. I have a few now but have never wanted to paint any due to its rarity. Oh here comes the saw and paints

... the sets from playmobil's new 2010 "ergänzungen & zubehör" catalogue are now online - http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Search-Show?cgid=DS_ARTIKEL... finally a sharp look is possible at sets like the:
- 7518 roter korsarensegler (nothing really new, it's a bare hull);
- 7531 kapitän der piraten (slightly new, just like the one in the 5814 blister with an extra feather in his hat and a different swotd)
- 7482 grosses und kleines gespenst (a real noveltie with a new - i think - child ghost)...

too bad they dont have any new figure for the DS except this re-introduced evil captain from the blister.
