I agree that the review itself should be done in whatever way people want.. (I think there's even a "guidelines" post somewhere)

However, regarding the title mfrankena is right... It would be most helpful if it included the set REF and "name" - I know the name varies according to who's doing it, but the reference should be present, since it is THE way to find it..

IMO, of course.

simply showing the number might help, what theme it is can be seen from the pictures.  :)

How about this though: what if other members are encouraged to post their own review with pictures and such in that same thread? that way everyone can give their own review if they like but they will all be found in the same topic for that set and if not enough information is given, additional info and pictures could be provided that way by others.  :)

Well.... I would suggest only to add pics and facts about things that haven't been reviewed before. otherwise we would end up with (let's say) 8 reviews of the same thing done in 8 different ways.  8}

The template idea is good but I don't see it viable for everybody for the same reasons some had explained. Each member has their own personal way of doing the reviews.
However, those willing to use the template, go ahead!  :)

I do agree with tahra too. To add the name of the set in the list would help for not always you have the number to search the review. Using the same name that Playmodb had given each set would be a good way to simplify.
Other that the name, tag words could be used for searches.

What I meant was ALWAYS including the number, since the name can vary a lot...

Sorry I misunderstood.

Anyway I stand by what I said then. To add the name as figures in Playmodb or do some tagging to help searches could be good.  ;)

@bb: that's exactly how I'd read Martin's post. Sorry Martin, but it sound a bit Big Brother-ish.
@Panos: how did you guess I had your reviews in mind???  ;)

sounds? hmm kinda odd on a forum. Communication is not always easy, especially when reading something. It depends on my state of mind and feelings and what my goal is with my message when writing it. It also depends on the recipients state of mind, when reading it.
Another thing is difference in culture and way of life. Whats sounds perfectly all right and sound in NL, could be seen as rude in Greece or the US.

You assumed that i meant it that way, you didn't ask me.

Sorry if it came across that way, but my goal is to make PF better and bring some experience i have along and to enjoy myself, not arguing or making people hate me....  :uhoh: :sadklicky:
