Ghost Pirates in the US
« on: December 22, 2009, 20:31:52 »
Does anyone have any clue why the Ghost Pirates were released early in the US, and possibly only in TRU?

The mini-catalog inside also shows the Dragon World sets that haven't been released here yet, and I'm wondering if it was all a mistake.

As we've also heard that some of the Ghost Pirate sets are already due to be dropped fairly soon, I'm very confused as to Playmobil's US strategy, or is there no strategy and it's just their usual bumbling mess?

I would guess that TRU got them as an exclusive. It's happened before, series showing up in TRU or Target before the general release. It must be far less expensive for Playmobil and the retailers to do this for the exclusive rather than create totally new sets all the time.

Hi Martin  :elf:

   If you find those things odd wait till you are patiently waiting for the new sets. You knew were already out for a year, the newest catalog shows them and gives a release date and then, mysteriously they never show up. You call, Email, send smoke signals, pigeons with little notes to no avail  >:(  Welcome to Playmobil USA  8}
