My apologies, Sylvia. I did not realize that "Medina" (the old capitol of Malta) was also spelled/spelt "Mdina" ... :*)

I guess that I'm still not too old to learn something new (or to put my foot in my mouth) ...  ;)

No worries. Glad to know there wasn't a third error, after all!

FWIW, I didn't know there was another way to spell Mdina. Your knowledge of historical place names far outstrips mine. ;)

Actually, Sylvia, in this case your knowledge was far better than mine. Mdina is the preferred Maltese spelling. And, probably for a very good reason. The Arabs ruled Malta from 870AD for about two hundred years. The word "Medina" is an Arabic word for a small walled fortified area.
