Very convincing!

I have.......somewhere the a doll of somekind of this multi-million dollar man and he had this really cool gadgets all over his body, one location i remember was on his fore arm where he had some electronic device sticking out

Yes, I got it. It was a MECCANO's Action Figures of 12 pouces, like Action Joe (Action Man now).

The hero in a leisure suit.  I have memories of him leaping over tall chain link fences with that strange sound effect playing.

Did Bionic Man have stories, or just him leaping over stuff all the time?  I'm sad to hear that stuff was foisted on Europe as well.

But the klickie looks great!

How about "Greatest American Hero" about the guy who finds a superhero suit in the desert but doesn't know how to make it work?

I heard the Six Million Dollar Man was doing fine until MacGyver disassembled him with his Swiss Army Knife.
