For those of you who have a US social security number and filed an income tax report for year 2007, you probably know by now that as a gesture of goodwill, Caesar is awarding every Roman with a donative of 600 sesterces / dollars.
(formerly, when I read that a Roman emperor paid X number of gold pieces to every citizen of Rome (or the whole empire) or every soldier, I was dumbfounded and couldn't conceive of such a thing ever happening in modern times.
Well, Caesar is distributing a donative to every American and no doubt I'll forward some of it to Zirndorff.
At least $20.
I wonder how many Americans are actually about to go on a $600 buying binge?
Maybe I shouldn't ask such a question in the USA...
