Hello!  My name is Sarah and I am a new playmofriends member from New Hampshire, USA.  I fell in love with playmo when my kids were little.  They've grown up but I am still a fan!  The top playmo event in my house is my Halloween display, which takes up more and more of the kitchen every year.  I also travel a lot and collect sets that are unique to the countries I'm visiting.  I have trips coming up this year to Spain (hoping to find some unique sets) and Morocco (likely won't find anything there, I think).  I'd love any ideas people have about where I can find great playmo in those areas!

Hi SarahZ, welcome to the forum!    I'm in Belgium and though my kids are still little, I am an even bigger Playmobil fan than they are 

Spain has a big collector crowd and as Tahra said, they organise lots of events (displays of dioramas combined with stalls where people sell second hand old and new Playmobil sets). You'd need to ask at the Spanish Playmobil forum if you'd consider visiting one of those on your trip, I'm sure they can guide you in the right direction.

Given the poor availability of PM in the States, much discussed on this forum, you will probably find lots of nice stuff in other parts of the world! If you are interested in the early years of PM, some places may have their own 'licensee' brands from before 1980. For Spain this was called Famobil, in the UK it was Playpeople, Greece had Lyra, Argentina had Antex, to name just a few. Morocco didn't have a licensee, though.
