Sorry for being pedantic, Junker Jörg! As someone who enjoys looking at wildlife, it's always exciting to see a Hare, whereas Rabbits are a bit 'meh.'  And Dürer's supreme study of a Hare clearly shows his understanding of, even affection for, his subject!
