New stuff 2019

Meanwhile I had a look on Klickywelt past night, and today on Fakebook.

I must say I´m not impressed at all by the new Pirates´s Theme/sets. Klickies (especially soldiers) look like cheap rip-offs of earlier versions and especially the "new big ship" is a huge disappointment. What a rubbish compared with previous renewals of the theme.
The "big ship" has it´s ancestry in the 3550/3750 ships, but is much closer to the cheap 4424/5736 version once developed for the US Target stores.

Concerning all the rest, some interesting stuff, but way too many Surprise/Mystery stuff, not just in bags anymore but now even in boxes. Over a period of a little more then 6 months we will get:

1) Movie Figures - Series 2 (December 19) - 12 figures in surprise bags
2) Surprise Figures - Series 17 (January 19) - 24 figures in surprise bags
3) Everdreamerz Mystery Boxes (first half 2020)  - 12 figures in surprise boxes (in addition to the 5 main "non-mystery" ones)
4) Scooby Doo Mystery Ghosts - Series 1 (first half 2020)  -12 figures in surprise bags
5) Surprise Figures - Series 18 (July 2020) - 24 figures in surprise bags

Are they soon going to turn all sets into mystery sets/bags of which one has to guess the contents??

I just noticed that the Playmofriends dwarf 70240 wears the green foliage cape of the 1997 Zauberbaum spirit (3897). Good to see that hard-to-get part back in circulation.

And is that a "chase" figure for the Everdreamer in bottom right!? Seriously?

For people who don't know playmobil they might be disappointed to open a blind bag and find that the arms are straight instead of all those bent positions being shown on the packet.

In 2019, 72 figures in "blind bags" (2 sets of boys fi?ures, 2 sets of girls, 2 sets of Movie figures)
In 2020, 84 figures in blind bags/boxes (2 sets of boys, 2 sets of girls, 2 sets of Scooby figures, at least one set of Everdreamerz)

I can see I am going to have to be selective about what I buy!

Thanks for making the sums.

In 2018 and the years before (since the introduction of the Surprise Figures) there were only 48 figures a year (2x 12 figures Series Boys, 2x 12 figures Series Girls). So the "surprises" are going up steeply since this year!
Concerning total numbers of "surprise/mystery figures" for 2020, we don´t know yet the novelties for the 2nd half of next year.
