The sad thing is that Roman and Egyptian are still hotly desired themes and some of the key sets are really rare and expensive. Expect to pay $90 for a 4273 for example.

Or wait till I go flat broke and have to sell my collection!

Please put me first on your list when that day comes. ;) I see what you mean by expensive:

I should perhaps buy what is still available from Playmobil & Amazon first, before it's too late.  :crossed:

A couple of other reliable US online retailers are http://Happyhentoys.com and http://Americasbesttrain.com

The 4246 Egyptian house was on the Playmobil US sale sheet I posted about in the Trade/Sales area. You should try calling them up and seeing if it's still available. It was under $17 I think. I thought about getting a couple but wanted a couple of the Medievel Bakery set more.

TX, Tim. I was curious about that sale, as I couldn't find any info on it when I went to the site. There's a lot of stuff I would order if I knew how! I've used Happy Hen before, and will check out America's Best Train. I really need to get medieval buildings, as the bakery just isn't enough for me to do the kind of display I'd like (I'm a medieval historian). Any tips on such things, including DS, would be much appreciated. :)

That sale is by phone order only. On a weekday you call them up at 1-800-Playmobil and choose option 2 to place a direct phone order. Tell them the set number you want and they will give you the current price and if it's still in stock.

That's great info - TX much! My bank account hates you, but I'm quite happy.
