real life Roman Playmobil
« on: February 21, 2015, 18:10:45 »
Everyone holds the little Roman girl from 7922 Roman Family dear in their hearts of course, and remembers that she comes with a little doll of her own to play with.

(A doll with a doll! I love it.)

Well read this article! The image alone will convince you that Zirndorf had their heads screwed on right when they included the minidoll. HISTORICALLY ACCURATE PLAYMOBIL STRIKES AGAIN

Wow, that's very interesting. It's like an ancient Barbie. :P

Interesting story that doll's quite well made and the face in particular is very well detailed  :)

Now I wonder if they'd put clothes on that doll too. I am sure it would have been possible to create a little toga for it back then.

Hmmm, but the joined arms and legs suggest PlayBig rather than Playmobil.  If this discovery had been made in the late 1970s, the history of Playmobil might have ended very quickly!   :)

It does look like a doll that would be dressed up, and they could make a little outfit from scrap material.

I bet it fetched dozens of sesterces on the Roman equivalent of eBay.
