That's great  :)  You really nailed that busy atmosphere. I love seeing all the attractions in full swing with the lights on.
I've said it before, but I totally want a 'hammer smashing game' like that too.

And nice to see they even have toilets  ;D

Very nice dio Tim! Great minds think alike in the hammer smashing game. Great use of parts and it looks like it holds together a little better than mine. I love your use of some of the really old sets, and especially the news crew. Also the porta pottys! Very nice.

Thanks all :D The line is so long for the porta potty because it's the only one I had at the time! Since then I've corrected that problem and bought three more from add-ons so I can have a proper block of them the next time the carnival or some other event happens.

Using Franky's and the ITV news team works towards one of the goals I think Playmobil themselves don't stress nearly enough - that every Playmobil set goes with every other one that's ever been made - so a collection can build on itself for years and all the parts are still potentially useful for play - or dioramas.

Very... "civilized" audience.
Well they are playing a carnival so probably not the biggest named band out there...

People seem to have noticed Tim, there are a couple of other cameos there too - the PlaymoFriends figure is there in a few shots and Vanidel the minstrel and previous co-host of various jousts is waiting in the wings to go on stage.

Love it Tim!  Makes me want to go pull out my summer fun pieces and create one of my own!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Great to see Tim about... and the lighting looks great.

Haha I never noticed, so of course I had to go back and look for him.  It was sort of like "Where's Waldo"?  I love it!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Lovely diorama! Still searching for Tim  :-[

This is what I love most about Playmobil. Most of my childhood toys are outdated by now but not my playmobil!
life in plastic it's fantastic

A very lovely dio, Tiermann. It's great to see the old and new combined, as others have said. I searched for Tim, but didn't really know what I was looking for, until I checked the PCC newsletter and remembered Tim is the globe-trotting Klicky on there!

I notice the two police officers are avoiding doing anything about the lady in the pink dress at the front of the pop stage crowd who is clearly getting WAY too excited and waving her arms in the air. Surely this sort of extravagent behaviour is only encouraged by popular music played loudly? I bet the officers have spotted a stand selling doughnuts...

At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Franky's is still a great set. There's new competition in town soon though, Jim's food truck is arriving in the neighborhood early next week.
