Son has lucky touch for mystery series figures
« on: January 04, 2015, 18:43:34 »
I don't know how he does it...every time I desire a specific mystery figure my 8 year old can pick it out for me.  For instance on Friday I dragged him...okay he went somewhat willingly to Toys R Us to spend gift money...and told him I would love to have the nun and Robin Hood character.  So he stands there for less than 10 seconds...grabs a couple of bags...says ,"here you go"...and heads off to the Legos with his older brother.

I get home and carefully cut open the bags...slowly peak inside...and BAM...Nun.  Second bag...Robin Hood...third bag...ANOTHER nun!?  How does he do that???   He has done that in the past for other series too..crazy!   He has the same luck with those lego mystery bags too.  Every time there is a figure he wants...he gets it on first try.  I am never that lucky on my own ;) I squeeze and try with all my imagination to feel whats in those bags...

Sounds great to me. Our oldest acts lame about it, our youngest tries really hard and questions everything but our middle ones does it fast and goes on initial guess and it works great.
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

That's a great gift he's got personally I can feel them out successfully but, it's certainly not that fast and it often involves walking half way to the till double checking that they feel like the ones I want and deciding that perhaps one of them is not the right one, as for the LEGO figures I don't have so much skill with them although I did manage to feel the Yeti after I'd bought him and corrctly guess some of the Simpsons figures when I had a visual guide in front of me

He should consider a career as a pick-pocket. There's good money in that.  8}

It seems to me that last few times I tried that (not picking pockets) it felt like the bags were filled with air, like a balloon, so you couldn't feel anything inside.  Glad he was able to find what you were looking for.   Maybe you and he could set up a side business filling requests.

Lol!  Not sure I want to set my son up for a life of crime...but I should have him tell me what numbers to pick for lottery some time!:-)  If the bags are not filled with so much air I can sometimes figure out the accessories or obvious items like skirts, helmets, etc.  You are right though...when they are really filled with air...good luck!  I feel like an idiot standing there squeezing bags ::)
