Restaurant theme.
« on: June 10, 2014, 09:07:39 »
They haven't done this yet but now that I think of it, I think kids would love this theme very much. There's lots of toy kitchens and such for a reason after all, and many kids seem to enjoy playing restaurant.

So I suggest adding a fancy restaurant theme!

On to the sets:

-The restaurant.
This is the main set. Large building with beautifull doorway. Comes with several dinner tables of various sizes and chairs, a small kitchen with cooking supplies, food, silverware, a lectrum with a book for reservations, a fancy waiter with mustache (could be the owner), waitress in black skirt and white blouse, old fat chef, and two customers in formal clothes with a little girl also in formal clothes.
Toilets too of course, seperate for men and women.

-Kitchen.
Larger kitchen that can be attached to the restaurant at the side, to make it bigger and provide a much larger kitchen.
Comes with a cooking isle, lots of pots and pans, and a male and female chef.

-Bar.
Roughly the same size as the kitchen set, can be used on its own or attached to the restaurant to make it larger.
Comes with many glasses and drinks, also some bowls for peanuts and such. Many bar seats as well.
Included clickies are: Bartender with rolled up sleeves, fancy lady customer.

-Romantic dinner.
Dinner table with two chairs, couple in fancy dress, wedding ring in little box, silverware and a male and female musician. One with violin and one with accordeon.

-Family dinner.
Long dinner table with five chairs and a chair for toddlers. Includes plates, food, coloring books for the kids and a special plate and spoon for the toddler.
Included clickies: father, mother, boy, girl, toddler girl, grandmother all in fancy clothes, and a waiter.

-Waitress with dinner tray.
Simple little set.

-Parking.
Ground plate with four parking spaces, someone to put the cars away for the customers, and a fancy car with a couple in fancy clothes. There are some bushes around the parking spaces, maybe a tree too.

It is indeed a great idea!!!
Hopefully if some day they make this theme they won't make it pink or flourescent green!

A french little bistro version would be awesome too!  something we could also use for the 1900 theme

Love the idea of a bistro and agree no pink, green or purple.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Love the idea! The bar might get voted most inappropriate toy for children, but playmobil has a long history of that! Anyway, with fancy customers it would be more of a cocktail lounge. In fact I would love to see little margaritas, daquiris, pina coladas, martinis... that would be pretty awesome.

Leefert, we discussed a 50's diner theme once, quite extensively. It's a pretty old thread, but you might be interested in digging it up. There were some great ideas tossed out there, from poodle skirts to classic cars. If you find it, feel free to post in it to bring it back. :yup:

Heh well I think in this context the bar might work since its meant to be part of the restaurant. Though to further educate kids, one of the customers could come with a bicycle to clearly show he's not getting in the car after having some drinks.  :)

And if construction workers can have several crates of beer, surely a bar can have something?  ;)
