It must take immense patience to stand all the figures on that lovely ground cover. Each time I attempt something like this with realistic model train grounds all the Klickies suddenly get fall-down drunk that no one can stand for long, and then the cat finishes up the remaining survivors with a lazy swish of his tail 
I'm pretty impatient normally, but putting everything just right is what makes it fun for me, so I don't really mind. I don't have pets either, that helps
When I was little, our cat at home used to be very careful around my Playmobil, placing its paws exactly right, avoiding clickies. It was a funny sight.
