4748 Samurai Special
« on: November 20, 2012, 19:33:01 »
i read wolf knight's review to see if any mention of this was made but didn't see anything. can anyone comment on whether or not the samurai kabuto fit on their klicky's head or not? ours does not secure into place at all with the included hair although it seems to fit fine on old style jagged hair types. if this is a one off fluke, i'll try picking up another at soe point but if it's endemic to the entire production run, it's hard to justify (although surely easier than those ill conceived treasure hunter guards that can't stand without some modification or hold up their weapons!).

thanks!

Sometimes the parts don't fit exactly. You'd probably have more luck with another one, but honestly, I've found that this sort of thing has been happening more recently. :-\ Some of the materials that the parts are made with also seem to have changed, and I reckon these cheaper-appearing materials are what leads to this most often.

thanks, pynedor. sounds like a fluke, then. a pity since i really like the figure. i have to agree with you about quality issues but that is better saved for another post.

Hmmm I never considered the issue of the headwear not staying on the hair as a problem back then, but I did buy a few more samurais since then, and all had the same problem, so it is a quality issue.

Here is some discussion topics on quality issues:

We had the same problem with ours. Switched the hair for a `classic`hair piece and it worked fine. Doesn`t look as good though.

In all these cases you need to report these problems to Geobra so they know about them and can find solutions.

All the ones I've opened so far have been fine. I have had very occasional problems with other hat/hair combinations. Either a little trimming of the hat (if it's too tight) or a blob of sticky tac usually sorts the problem.
