Which is weird, because my guess there are 10 times as many Targets in the US as there are TRU. As it is, Walmart, at least 2 or 3 years ago, sold more toys nationwide than anyone else. If that's so, my guess would be Target being second.

shelf space in a store like xyz corp. need to be moving a set dollar amount of merchandise. If the product is not as popular as it needs to be to reach these goals then it need to be replaced with one that does meet these requirements.
To offset some of these limitations Target can negotiate with said company to lower the purchase price. Similar to how Costco is able to negotiate such low prices on its purchases. Now a producer needs to have a required profit margin. If it can not lower the price enough then the deal does not account. The deal with Target and Walmart is not working out at all with playmobil. Those stores are full of cheep items or ones with mass marketing appeal and playmobil is neither
