We're still wading through the whole site here and trying to catch up, so please forgive us for bumping some older threads, just got to this one and love it!
This has triggered an idea that unless we have a really serious lottery win, we will never have the time, space or money to do, the evolution of a town/city, starting with a stone age settlement, working up through the Romans, vikings, knights, redcoats, etc, up to modern times, the layout of the settlement changing and expanding at each stage, from a cave near a river/stream up to high rise buildings, not just 1 display but 1 for each stage, I'm getting way way too many ideas for projects here!
