What a very nice assembly! 

Very well arranged, and as always in your photos: those little details! -- The blanket (did you killed a kilt?  ) The pot with the green plant (looks nice) and what's the cake about in the foreground? Never have seen this before.  Is this a Playmobil item? If not, it actually looks like one due to its color shades and shape. (Is this customized or is this a real thing to eat, a cookie?)

You're correct! It's not Playmobil. It's a "Sylvanian Family" accessory.
I bought a few bits and pieces from eBay a long time ago. It was well before Playmobil released the bakery or the butchery and I was looking for foodie things that might be a good scale to use with klickies.  The bread buns next to the French sticks in the basket at the back are also Sylvanian. I think they blend in quite well.

I can't take credit for actually writing the story, Jochen.

I took these photos to make some e-cards (several years apart, I might add ) and Richard cleverly wove a very entertaining tale to fit around the pics. The one of the turkey hiding behind the tree was only shown at GW, btw.

I'm not quite sure how the story would continue from this point....  but I suppose I have a year to try and come up with something now, since it's much too late to continue it for this Thanksgiving!!
