Yes, woven from straw, lacquered, and decorated with red trimmings.

) we did visit HCMC (ho chi min city) but dont remember seeing these..if its nice, I might try to get one too

usually such hats are displayed hanging flat on the wall but you kept yours in a cupboard or box?

It's my mom's so I'm not sure exactly where it is. I'm sure it is either displayed or very carefully stored though.
