Steck at DS?

Are there many steck parts availailable to buy from DS?

How does a person know what parts are available from DS and which are not? I recall someone saying that parts are generally not available after 4 years, but you would need quite a good knowledge of set release dates to keep up with this would you not?

Well first off 'available' and actually in stock when you order are 2 different things.

Theoretically available are the castle battlement parts in 5863 - Knights Action Set
The walls and roof parts in 7145 - Medieval House with Barn
Parts in 7379 - Yellow Framework House
and from germany at least the parts in 6219 - Bäckerei-Fachwerkhaus
Structure parts from 5759 - Safari Action Set are available
The parts in 7377 - Pirates Dungeon are still available - I got some in my last US DS order

Parts in 7378 - Sheriff's Office are also available.So what does that leave that's not available?

I know that the 30 07 6750 - Floor, 1x2 units, concave cutout in corner is definitely not available as I've tried to get it form US and Germany. Also unlikely would be the round tower parts, 30 02 9180 - Stairs, stone, exterior, 30 07 6730 - Roof gable end, stonework, 30 07 6690 - Window, arch-top in protruding wall., and 30 07 8890 - Roof, shingled, square, pointed in centre.
Is the solid castle wall available? It's not in any of these sets. I haven't ever tried oredering it.

When I needed a few extras for Hogwarts during the summer I ordered and got these parts from ds

30 08 5990 Roof, single-width, with window hole (red)
30 07 626 roof round, conical shingles
30 02 8350 Roof gable end, stone, arched windows (grey)
30 06 2070 Dormer window frame and sides, flat top (dark brown
30 06 2090 Dormer roof, shingled, flat (red)
30 07 0700 Roof, single-width, no window (red)
30 07 0820 Roof section connector (red)
30 07 1500 Roof, eave section (red)
30 02 8680 Window, Arch-top, bars and four-circles pattern (black)

and this was available but I put the wrong part number.   - I think I got two horses instead

30 02 8820 Chimney, tapered to small opening (grey)

and because they are in the new bakery set, these should be available

30 07 6100 Wall Connector, Flat, Double-Female (grey)
30 07 6670 Wall Connector, Corner, Double-Female (grey)
30 07 6700 Wall, Flat, with Arched Doorway (grey)
30 07 6720 Castle wall, 1 unit wide, arch-top window (grey)
