eBay find - wish me luck!!

So I found this bulk lot of Series 1 girls fi?ures on eBay. 25 packets unsorted.

Including shipping from the US to Australia I paid less per figure than I would from my usual suppliers. And I can't find series 1 girls anywhere!!! I already have the cave woman (obviously) and the bird feeding princess. And the princess with the horrible green felt stickers I stuffed up. But no others. Wish me luck I don't get too many duplicates!!

My daughter will get some of the duplicates then I will look at selling or swapping any other duplicates. Stay tuned, I will report back with what I get. Will try feel all the bags and label them so I don't have to rip them all open. Though I have a very special way of re-sealing the bags.  ;)

good luck on getting the ones you want. I remember when collectors used to open their boxes with a hairdrier so that they would still be in perfect condition. I guess then they could reseal them.

Good luck!

Do share the resealing tip - we open them through the back, at the seam, so as not to damage them, but never considered resealing them - would be handy for the trade ones..

Eeek, can a mod move this to the correct forum! So sorry, I thought I posted in 'Collectors Corner'. Rookie mistake!

I promise to report back, I'm dying to get my hands on them. A quick feel determined that there was some variety in there, I was/am worried I got all the same figures. 25 is an odd number to sell in a bulk in I thought.

Tahra, I do open them at the back seam, and I have this way cool double sided tape applicator, that is sooooo sticky, and dries instantly and really well on the foil. Will post some pics of it.

I have to say I have gotten really good at working out what's in the bags by feeling them now so mostly don't need to open them.

Sorry again about the misplaced post, if a mod can move it that would be great.

This is the glue applicator I have. The glue strip is the perfect width for the back seam. Sticks instantly.

Yesssssss! Did really well. I got 1 of every figure! I was so worried I might get 10 of the same thing so to get at least one of every figure was excellent.

Just for fun, the run down (and my random thoughts):

Bird Princess x 1 (had her already but didn't put sparkles on, unsure whether I will put them on this time either)
Fairy x 4 (didn't have her, she is ok, daughter very happy to get one)
Ice Princess x 3 (I reeeeealllly wanted her and wasn't disappointed)
Singer x 2 (I actually loved her)
Skier x 1 (didn't have her, love her simple top and colours)
Highway Robber x 1 (didnt have her, LOVE)
Skater Girl x 2 (didn't have her, bit meh about her)
Witch x 2 (didn't have and LOVE)
Horse Rider x 5 (!) Didn't have and she is so simple and elegant
Cavewoman x 1 (already had and LOVE, duh)
Mermaid x 2 (didn't have, love but not sure what to do with all the loose shells!)
Pink princess x 1 (had 2 of her already, but HATED the green velvet stickers and was a bit wary of stickers after her!)

I'm getting another order of various series next week and will need to do a stocktake of what I want to keep etc. As I have said in other threads, super keen to offer swaps with people here rather than sell on eBay if possible.
