I think these do fit in the funnel, they just seem big in the pictures.
Yes, the Seuthe smoke generators (No. 5 & 7) fit in the funnel, no problem.

The smoke generators with ventilator and with larger tanks you have to place under the funnel, perhaps with a short hose to the funnel.

That's a great layout. I love the use of the space station parts for the elevated rails.

I have to tell you, that this layout in this room no longer exists.

The builder (Nobody = Sacha) made a new layout in his cellar, which is not terminated now.

And is the No. 5  difficult to connect to the train battery?

After opening the motor block (case), you have to solder the 2 wires of the smoke generator at these two places (see picture).
