Small Red Coat Army
« on: June 26, 2011, 21:45:39 »
Been buying a bag here and there and this is what I got.

These soldiers come with the same boots.  The last bag I bought had two with reg boots and one with different boots.  Anyone else seen this before?  The right one is the normal boots but the left is different.

Great line up Elric!!!

I have about 100 of these still in their bags, and like you I've been bying them here and there... I have no idea about the different boots, but one of these days I'll open the bags and let you know!

Nice line up, but aren't you going for the new-style redcoats from the pirates' theme and soon also in DS? Or customizing the pirate-captain that comes with the 4290-ship?
I had a bunch of the ones in your pic, but I find the torsos somewhat outdated and therefor I've all dissasembled them to only use their legs and crossbelts and give them new torsos and collars.

The one on the left in your last pic has the new style horseriders/soldiers boots.
They come with klickies in the updated horseriding ("manège") theme, in the "new-style-horses with stable-sets", and the new Redcoat-officer from the blisterpack has also these legs/boots.
So probably they mixed them up during assemby, but these boots are well suited for soldiers. I've equipped a few platoons of 18th century French soldiers with these legs.

 ;)

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!
