Tips for customizing ships.
« on: October 25, 2016, 14:54:58 »
I recently purchased my first Playmo galleon and need some tips on customizing it. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, so any help you can give will be appreciated. Thanks!

I am not really the guy for this but hopefully one of our ship experts will drop by. In the mean time, what is it you are wanting to do? Customizing can be anything from changing color to adding entire additional decks for a ship.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I've been very busy lately. I want to add a forecastle to my ship so it will be more "realistic."

Which ship did you get, the one in your avatar or another?

I got the 5135 ship. It has a pretty nice deck, but as I said, I want it to be more realistic.

I want it to resemble bp2006's custom Black Pearl forecastle.

If you´re really good with heating, bending & glueing ABS-plastics and with (spray-)painting as well, you could get (an) additional ship(s) and scrap that one (those) for usable parts. If not, I´d leave it like it is. The 5135 and it´s older 3940 (= US 3286) variant are the most realistic Playmobil "galleons" around.

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!
