What a wonderful idea! Use humor to address what can be a fatal problem.

I have seen police cars (usually with all their lights flashing) trapped in enormous potholes in Alaska, and admit it was very entertaining every time! So glad it was not my car/truck stuck in those cratersfromhell, which seemed to appear regularly.

Sometimes a plunge into one breaks both axles...not a lot of fun.  And towing them out is always an adventure enjoyed by everyone within 100 miles or so! Drove the 360 miles from Fairbanks to Anchorage about 200 times over 12 years up there, and could write a book about how the highway shifted over that time. It was finally paved in about 1972, which was the year I moved there for college/uni. The hundreds of tremors a day and many fault lines don't make road construction and maintenance any easier either.

Melting and freezing of the permafrost means that roads have to be elevated above the muck and well insulated below. They did not figure this out until around 1970...after many of the roads had been constructed the wrong way. So Pothole Pete would be a hero up there, but I would hate to have the job answering the complaints! Pgal
After two decades of male toys (esp. Lego and PM) in our house, it is time to build something for us women!
