I don't love those plastic landscape bases that come in the super sets but I admit a lot of the accesories that come with this kind of sets are very cool - like that dragon fly and the fairy :love:

Ooh, I like this kind of baseplate. They work well in zoo exhibits, IMO.

Thank you for an excellent review, Tim.  That's a very interesting set with some pleasing new features.  The new tall plant with the cat-tail top is, I guess, a reed which will be nice to see in more water sets.  In fact, the other flowers in that set could be replaced by reeds and look quite natural.

The fact that water flows in all directions suggests a pool fed by an underground spring.

The Japanese setting looks great, Tim.

(I must admit, the more I look at your review, Tim, the more attractive that base plate becomes.)
